Do "natural" presenters exist?

Feb 13, 2021

I hear loads of people say that they are not "good" at presenting, and the people who are good are "naturals". This is not true. Of course you can have talent as a presenter, but that is not enough. People who have gotten good have put in loads of work behind the scenes. Rehearsing, delivering, failing, learning, and repeating the cycle. It takes hours and hours of work to make it look easy. By calling people naturals you are discounting all the behind the scenes work.

Just like any sport or school subject, if you want to get good you need to put in the work. Tips and tricks are not enough. Reading books is not enough. You need to find a way to stretch yourself in order to really show more of yourself. There are a million ways to deliver an amazing presentation, but the only way is to be you. That is one of the reasons why I created my course. I love to see people step into their voice and express their authentic passion. Once I was able to do this, not only did it feel great, also doors opened up for me that I didn't know were there. I want that for all of you.
